What Financial Planners Know That You Don’t
Written by admin on August 9, 2011 – 10:19 amHow much do you know about your finances? Do you know where your finances are the weakest? Do you even understand by my reference to your finances? The truth is that a lot of people don’t understand much about their finances other than the fact that they make a certain amount of money and they spend roughly “Blank”.
If you are an average American then you don’t know as much about general finances as you need to and that is where a financial planner comes into play. I know you may be saying that you don’t need a financial planner but the truth is that you do. Why would you not take advantage of a certified financial planner when finances are what they specialize in? Think about it, you would pay for an electrician to handle electrical wires in your home but you will not spend the same amount of money to ensure that you have the financial security to pay for that home.
The first thing that a good professional financial planner knows that you most likely don’t know is what the safest investments are at the time and if you are even in a position to invest. Most people think that they should be investing all the time buy the truth is that you should only invest if can afford it. For example, if you are going to try to invest in the stock market but you don’t have any money save up in case of an emergency then your financial planner would help you see why this is not the right path for you to take. Although your financial planner will want you to invest and want you to save at the same time it is just easier to d one thing at a time.
Another thing that a financial planner will know that you will not is that your income is your biggest asset. Think about it, you keep getting paid over and over again and that is how you fund some of your biggest purchases. Just remember that your income is what will make sure your finances are worth protecting and that is what your financial planner will help you understand.
