Life after redundancy for the Avon Lady

While the famous Avon brand of beauty products may well be something of a joke to many people, Debbie Davies of Sunderland has turned what for many is a part-time job into a career which is earning her in excess of 250,000 a year. Since 2004, when she was made redundant from her job at a Sunderland printing factory, she has turned over an amazing 7 million worth of Avon products, with 2 million turnover in just one year.

Having built up a business from rock bottom she now has a team of over 2500 people and the future has never looked better. While it would be wrong to suggest that it is easy to make money from schemes such as Avon there is no doubt there is and always has been a place for these products in certain areas of the country.

However, there is a need to both be careful and keep your wits about you when looking towards outside sources for income because there are many scams out there with more and more people prepared to take advantage of those in difficult financial situations. On a brighter note, the fact that Debbie Davies has managed to build up such a business even in these difficult times gives hope for everybody else.
